Rickshaw Bus

Saw the Rickshaw Bus go by today - the picture above is from their website which doesn't show that the design is pretty cute. There's even a fake rickshaw canopy attached to the back of it. Worth checking out if you have visitors or family in town who don't know Hong Kong, as their routes around the island sound quite good, and at HK$50 for a hop-on hop-off all-day ticket, it's a pretty good deal. Having visitors can be tiring, so this way you can pop your visitors on board and go enjoy some time to yourself!

  1. We have tried the Rickshaw bus yesterday. It is a waste of money and time, we waited 45 mins for the bus at Star Ferry and paid $200 for 4 people (2 are our guest from Holland), we hopped off at Man Mo Temple and did some sightseeing before trying to hop back on the bus, we wait another 40 mins and the bus never come so we took the taxi instead to the old police station. Our guest really think it is a waste of time and ask us to file a complaint. I don't recommend the bus to anyone unless they have a lot of patient. This bus service is no good to the tourism reputation of Hong Kong unless they improve.

  2. Recently, I have tried once. I don't have your bas experience. Rather, I had a wonderful journey on the Rickshaw Bus. I bought a One-Day-Pass, just HKD$50, which could do the hop-on-hop-off whole day on both two routes. It is a good value service, rather than the Big Bus costing HKD$320!
